Braddock

PITTCH was born from a simple, uncompromising belief: that socks — something worn every single day — should be made properly, from the best materials, right here in Britain.

Elisabeth founded PITTCH in 2014 after years of frustration with synthetic sock drawers that wore out, lost their shape, and felt dull against skin. A lifelong lover of British countryside and the heritage of English textile craft, she set out to create a brand that brought genuine Merino wool quality to a product long neglected by the luxury market.

PITTCH represents the perfect marriage of rural heritage and contemporary style — more than just a sock brand, it is a commitment to ethical business and the resurgence of high-quality British manufacturing.

“I wanted socks that felt as good on the hundredth wear as they did on the first. Merino was the obvious answer — but so was Britain. We have an extraordinary heritage of textile craft here, and I was determined to keep every stitch of PITTCH on home soil.”

— Elisabeth Braddock, Founder & Designer

The Craft

Knitted in Derbyshire.
Worn everywhere.

Our Derbyshire mill has been producing fine knitwear for generations. PITTCH works directly with the mill — controlling every stage from yarn sourcing to the final stitch, ensuring each pair meets our obsessive quality standard.

We select Merino wool for its natural thermoregulation — warm in winter, cool in summer. It wicks moisture away from skin, resists odour naturally, and softens with every wash. Unlike synthetic blends, Merino breathes with your body and lasts for years rather than months.

Our principles

What PITTCH stands for.

01

British Craft

Designed in Melton Mowbray, knitted in Derbyshire, finished in Britain. Every stitch is a commitment to domestic craft and sustainable British employment.

02

Slow Fashion

We make less, better. PITTCH socks are designed to last years, not months — the antidote to the disposable sock drawer. Buy once, wear forever.

03

Responsible Materials

Merino wool is naturally biodegradable, recyclable, and antibacterial. We use sustainably sourced fibre and minimal packaging — because the earth is not part of our supply chain to exploit.

04

Colour with Purpose

Colour is self-expression. PITTCH socks are the one piece of an outfit entirely your own — bold, joyful, and carefully considered across 30+ colourways.

The Colours

Over 30 colourways. Something for everyone.

From deep forest tones to bold electric brights, every PITTCH colourway is chosen with the same rigour as our materials. Vibrant enough to express personality. Refined enough to belong in any wardrobe.
